“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” – A.A. Milne
The hardest part of a school year for me is the very end. Saying goodbye to many families who are graduating and moving on is so bittersweet. It is everything that we are working toward – helping our children grow and prepare for what comes next, and supporting one another in parenting skills that will aid in the coming years. And now, it is time to transition to the next chapter. Truthfully, I don’t do this well. I don’t want you and your children to go. I grow attached and would like to keep things as they are – as safe as possible in our own insulated Jack and Jill world. But that is not the way life works. So, on we go and on these amazing children grow.
Thank you to each of you for sharing yourselves with our Jack and Jill community. It takes each of you as individuals, with your time and talents, to make a cooperative school work. As I tell you goodbye, I say it with so much gratitude because you make this wonderful job possible.
