School Fees

Registration

A non-refundable registration fee of $50 with a completed registration form will hold your child’s spot in class. This fee is used to pay for administrative and start-up costs for the school year. Families registering more than one child will follow a sliding scale based on the number of family members enrolling in Jack & Jill. Families who register a second child will pay 50% of the full registration fee, registering a third child will pay 25% of the full registration and registering 4 or more children will pay 0% of the full registration fee.

  • 1 child $50 = $50
  • 2 children $50 + $25 = $75
  • 3 children $50 + $25 + $12.50 = $87.50
  • 4 children $50 + $25 + $12.50 + $0 etc. = $87.50

2022-2023 Tuition

The first and last month’s tuition are due at parent orientation. Need-based scholarships for tuition are available.

Tuition is charged on the basis of total costs of operation for the school year and divided into nine monthly payments. We ask that tuition be paid by the first of each month. Checks should be made payable to Jack & Jill Cooperative Preschool and placed in the Treasurer’s Box.

Bates Enrollment Fee

Why is there a Bates Fee?

The cooperative preschool program is a parent/child participation program. Parents enroll in the Bates Technical College parent education program, and enroll their child(ren) in the cooperative preschool of their choice. While parents are enrolled in the Bates parent education program they earn college clock hours in a continuing education program. Child Studies instructors from Bates Technical College provide the cooperative preschools with teacher and leadership training, parent education seminars, technical assistance, information, and support. Parents enrolled in affiliated cooperative preschools have access to many parenting resources on the College campus.

These fees are collected at orientation and are prorated for families who enroll mid-year. This fee is for the parent’s enrollment, not the child’s, so there is no discount, or extra cost, for multiple children.  Bates enrollment fees are set by the college each year and subject to change.

The 2022/2023 fees* are as follows:

  • Group A (2’s) – $102
  • Group B (3’s) – $102
  • Group C (4’s) – $153
